Activity Planning
The activity timetable is planned in advance on a monthly basis, with staff supporting the young adults to actively input into the timetable.
The timetable planning takes place across the first week of each month in preparation for the coming month. This ensures that all young adults have the opportunity to provide input to the programme and are able to undertake the activities of their choice. The new timetable then starts from the beginning of the next month which allows plenty of time for the staff team to organise trips out and purchase the necessary resources to deliver in-house activities.
A copy of each forthcoming activity programme is sent home with the young adults during the last week of the current month.
Referrals
New referrals for the service can be made direct to Enfield Mencap, although they must be supported by the young adults Social Worker /Care Manager.
Please note that whilst the service is aimed at young adults over the age of 18, the service will accept referrals for individuals who are not yet 18 if it is agreed that the individual will benefit from the service.
For referral information and general queries please contact the day services manager.
