Opportunity Centre is the generic name for daytime services run Monday to Friday although many of them will take place in other places across the community.
The Centre is fully accessible and has two large activity rooms and a purpose built kitchen in which a wide range of activities take place, providing a focus on healthy eating and lifestyle, education and leisure. Services have been provided from this site since 1998.
Increasingly our emphasis is on getting out into the community and accessing a range of activities, services and sites some of which we share with other learning disability organisations. In the main we prefer to use community facilities rather than those overtly associated with people with disabilities. A recent addition to our partnership sites is the Community Orchard inBroomfieldParkwhere service users play an active part in maintaining and developing this community asset
All activities are geared to meet the needs and aspirations of individual service users as identified in their person centred plans and regular reviews.
Service users and staff are proud of the garden to the rear of the Centre which provides a relaxing environment for lunch or a quiet break but features a sensory area (touch, scent and sound), glorious colour and our own herbs and vegetables ready to take into the kitchen.

All service users attending Opportunity Centre have a nominated keyworker.
