The New Opportunity Centre is for daytime services run from Monday to Friday although many of them will take place in other places across the community.
Increasingly our emphasis is on getting out into the community and accessing a range of activities, services and sites, some of which we share with other learning disability organisations. In the main we prefer to use community facilities rather than those overtly associated with people with disabilities. A recent addition to our partnership sites is the Community Orchard in Broomfield Park where service users play an active part in maintaining and developing this community asset.
All activities are geared to meet the needs and aspirations of individual service users as identified in their person-centred plans and regular reviews.
